Abusive Family members may include the following:

  • Parents of children
  • Foster parents of children
  • Siblings
  • Family Members
  • Aunts, Uncles, and Grandparents

Abusive people outside the family may include the following:

  • Strangers
  • People and colleagues in the workplace
  • Classmates at school, teachers, professors, cleaning staff, cafeteria staff, and others
  • Places of worship; other worshippers, religious leaders, office staff
  • Health care (e.g. Doctors, Nurses, etc.)

Abusive people in the Neighbourhood and Community may include the following:

  • First Responders ( e.g Police, Firefighters, and Paramedics)
  • Elected officials (at the municipal, regional, provincial, and federal levels)
  • Military
