Psychotherapeutic Groups

Therapeutic groups focus on ways to change, heal, and grow emotionally. Therapists facilitate the sessions and create a supportive environment for those attending to share experiences, learn new coping skills, and address mental health issues that may have been caused by trauma.

The positive benefit of the group helps in reducing isolation, as those in attendance recognize they are not alone in their struggles, that learning is emphasized through participation, and that they are in an environment where they may both offer and receive support. A cohesive group environment may foster a sense of community for those attending.

Group participants must be attending psychotherapy regularly during their participation in a therapy group.
